Gestures- these 'say' something... -But what of this case please?

Well, now that you talk of semantics. Semantics of posture.

Extract:
"Whether we sit on the floor or on chairs, cross our legs at the ankles, over the knees, or not at all—these ‘say’ something about a person’s cultural background but they do not communicate semantically."

Well, firstly i thought you technically take it as semantics :3 . Secondly, i want to know what 'say' it about one who sits on chair, and have his legs taken aback vertically, making some angle of less than 90 with the floor (though not oght to say vertical, lol). Well, just the complaint that you didn'nt incorporated this case. Though you seek n speak in generals i know. But i want to know of this gesture, that is all! So, dear linguists or whosoever, heed the case and provide feedback please :D .

Thanks in advance ~
